The United States Agency for International Development's Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship Program (USAID DISP) grants under contract (GUC) seeks to support activities related to human and institutional capacity development that would expand access to higher education for Myanmar citizens with a focus on leveraging basic and higher education activities that would enable expanded access to higher education opportunities for all Myanmar citizens.

Eligibility
You are eligible to apply if you are a(n):
- instructor teaching at any of the higher education institutions located in Myanmar
- instructor teaching at any of the higher education institutions at the border regions with students primarily from Myanmar
- instructor with basic computer skills and reliable internet access
- resident of Myanmar; or Myanmar citizen who has been residing in foreign countries or IDP camps

Participant Expectations
To be considered, you must submit a complete application as instructed below by the application deadlines. Other expectations includes:
- Participants must commit to complete the training program including Phase I and II as indicated in the program description (https://asianstudies.asu.edu/node/252).
- Participants must have access to at least 4 hours of internet access per week on a flexible schedule and 2 hours of internet access per week for synchronous workshops.
- Participants must provide proof of institutional support by completing the provided form (link) with institutional leadership's information.
- All participants must provide feedback and evaluations as indicated by the program.
- All participants must be willing to collaborate with educators from diverse backgrounds.

For the ASU Myanmar Higher Education Teachers Training Program, all participants are eligible to receive the stipend to compensate for their time commitment and to help defray participation costs.

Selection criteria
A selection committee will evaluate all complete applications to select 100 participants and to identify alternates across Myanmar and border regions. Primary consideration will be given to those applying from smaller non-profit institutions in Myanmar who serves diverse and inclusive communities.
This program aims to include and engage individuals with disabilities and non-binary and genderqueer participants. This program does not discriminate applicants based on ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or age.

Deadline
Complete application must be received by September 20. Application needs to be completed by filling out the form below.
Do not send applications directly to the project personals. Applicants will be notified of decisions by September 24th. Successful applicants must accept or decline their offer by September 27th.
