The Center for Asian Research offers an undergraduate major in Asia Studies through the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies, and offers undergraduates and graduate students a certificate in Asian Studies. The School of International Letters and Cultures also offers majors in some of the Asian languages taught at ASU. Undergraduates and graduate students are invited to participate in Asian Studies events – and one not need be an Asian Studies major or certificate student to do so.

The Center for Asian Research, established in 1966, is Arizona State University’s home for research, teaching and other resources about Asia. We have over 80 affiliated faculty members in disciplines and professional programs across the university. CAR overseas degree programs in Asian studies as well as certificate programs, and we work with the School of International Letters and Cultures in facilitating the study of Asian languages.
